Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By using trnch.app or the TRNCH iOS app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. The service

TRNCH helps you find things to watch. It includes:

• AI-powered movie and TV recommendations
• Watchlists called "shelves", including shared and collaborative shelves
• Watch scheduling with reminders
• User reviews

Recommendations are suggestions to help you decide — they're not guarantees about content, quality, or availability.

3. Accounts

You can sign in with Google or Apple. You agree to provide accurate information and you're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (on iOS: Settings → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your profile, shelves, reviews, and associated data.

4. Subscriptions (Trnch Pro)

Trnch Pro is a monthly, auto-renewable subscription that unlocks additional features.

• On iOS, Trnch Pro is purchased through Apple In-App Purchase and billed to your Apple ID.
• It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Deleting your TRNCH account does not cancel your Apple subscription — cancel it separately in your Apple ID settings.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, in line with Apple's policies.

5. User-generated content

You own the reviews, photos, and shelves you create. By posting them, you grant TRNCH a non-exclusive license to host, store, and display that content within the Service so it works as intended (for example, showing your review to others or sharing a collaborative shelf).

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. This includes harassment, hate speech, sexually explicit material, violence or threats, illegal or infringing content, spam, and impersonation.

• You can report any review, comment, or user, and block other users, directly in the app.
• We review all reports and remove violating content and eject offending users within 24 hours.
• Blocked users' content is immediately hidden from you across the Service.

We may moderate or remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, for violations of these terms. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Scrape or harvest data from the Service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code
• Abuse or circumvent rate limits
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service

7. Third-party content

Movie and TV metadata and images are provided by TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Streaming availability and other third-party information may be inaccurate or change without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The TRNCH name, branding, design, and software belong to us. These terms don't give you any right to use our branding without our permission.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TRNCH's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the Service means you accept the updated terms.
